Analyzation of Documentary Photography

I wrote the three previous posts in the summer of 2014—almost 10 years ago. I often think about some of the things I wrote and how, or if, they are applicable today. I still believe, now more than ever, that documentary photography and art photography are one in the same. I still believe the creation of documentary art requires active participation by all parties: the photographer, the subject, the curator, and the viewer. As such, the outcomes of how to read an image and what can be inferred are infinite. Thanks for reading along…S.
